Looking for a special gift? Say yes with chocolates!

Every day of the year is the right time for chocolate! Especially, chocolates are a wonderful way to enjoy sweetness while celebrating holidays, birthdays and accomplishments.

Every person has their own taste or liking for chocolate and moreover, chocolate is not eaten in considering age since it is loved by all age groups around the world. The love for chocolates does not consider age, gender, geological locations, or social status; besides, it is one of the few edibles that most people like to take; no matter what region the person belongs to (Khanubroj M. 2013).

It was hard work, but we found the most popular chocolate brands, tasted them all, and ranked them here to help you choose the best options. Read on the list below to see some of the most popular chocolate brands available and choose one for this upcoming Valentine's Day.

11. Cadbury

If you're into the milky chocolate shells filled with a super sweet and creamy fondant filling that vaguely looks like an egg yolk, we'd never want to get in the way of your happiness.

The milk chocolate bar was pretty sweet, which was fine, but the texture and general chocolate flavor were off-putting.

Ultimately, we'll stick to the Cadbury Creme Eggs for a sugar punch in the springtime, and look elsewhere for our chocolate bars.

10. Russell Stover

Every Valentine's Day and Mother's Day, drug and shopping shelves are filled with Russell Stover's chocolate boxes, which have been on the market since 1923.

The chocolate boxes have not changed much over the years, each with flavored milk and dark candies that include vanilla and chocolate cream, raspberries, strawberries, orange, coconut, truffles and maple nut butter. As you know, Russell Stover specializes in sugar-free chocolate.

9. Nestle

Of the chocolate and confectionery brands Nestle owns, the most familiar in the United States are undoubtedly KitKat bars (owned by Nestle, but manufactured by Hershey's in the US) and Crunch bars.

Biting into a Crunch bar, we could tell that the chocolate "recipe" is different from the KitKat because of the texture.

The chocolate is easily approachable and the textures of the KitKat and Crunch bars set them apart from plain candy bars.

8. M&M's/Mars

According to Statista, Mars is the largest chocolate company in the world, producing not just chocolate, but also mints, candy, and chewing gum.

The milk chocolate bar was extremely sweet and full of chocolate flavor in a good way. The texture is milky and soft, with a slightly larger texture from Mini M & Ms, but still not very crunchy.

Dark chocolate is still very sweet, with a rather cocoa powder flavor. They call it dark chocolate, but it reminds us more of a dough for brownies in the shape of a bar. The chocolate itself is still very fine and a little pliable. Even though we didn't think it was the most popular of the famous chocolates, it was exactly what we expected. These playful and sweet chocolate bars filled our sweet taste with just a few bites.

7. Dove

Dove offers us with a touch of luxury, which sets our expectations when preparing to taste their chocolate even higher. With three different collections that include individually packaged chocolate-style chocolates, chocolate bars and ice cream bars, the menu is very focused.

Not too sweet, but well-balanced, both milk and dark chocolate bars are easy to enjoy without being overwhelmed by sweets.

6. Milka

Milka is a lilac-packaged chocolate company owned by the Mondelez International mega-label, which currently also includes Kraft Foods and Nabisco.

While Mondelēz is a relatively new company, Milka is a Swiss chocolate factory that has been producing "Alpine Milk" chocolate for more than 120 years.

To say, the milk chocolate bar gets high marks in our book, the dark chocolate option falls a little short.

5. Godiva

Godiva chocolates are often as widely available these days as some of their less expensive competitors, but they turn the luxury marketing up with gold-wrapped packages tied with ribbon. Each box of chocolates or truffles contains sweets in milk, black and white chocolate. The chocolate itself is smooth and creamy, not too sweet.

Both the classic and creative fillings found in the chocolates and truffles really take these treat boxes to the next level. Where most of the fillings in the Russell Stover chocolates taste fake, these flavors taste authentic, rich, and artisanal.

While the price of this chocolate may increase a bit depending on the box you choose, Godiva also makes smaller boxes, as well as chocolate bars and individually packaged chocolates for those who just want to buy. If you sometimes have a little extra money to spend, these are the best candy boxes.

4. Ghirardelli

You can immerse yourself in the nuances of different percentages of chocolate. Bars are available in milk chocolate to start, then come in increments of 60% chocolate all the way up to 92% cocoa. They also make a 100% cocoa bar which is completely unsweetened, but it's admittedly intended for baking.

The bars are also available with a few flavors that include popular fruits, nuts, and caramel. If you're interested in exploring different grades of chocolate by itself or in your cooking, Ghirardelli is a great place to turn.

3. Hershey's/Reese's

It's hard to argue with the numbers when Reese's is the number two selling chocolate candy in the US, followed by the classic Hershey bar in the number four position, according to The Daily Meal.

The Hersheys milk chocolate bar is sweet but not as sweet as the Cadbury and M&M bars. The special dark bar has a smooth texture with more of a snap than the milk chocolate bar. The chocolate itself has a pleasant taste with dark fruit tones and a socially bitter profile. Although it does not have a certain percentage of cocoa, people who enjoy dark chocolate are more satisfied with it. There had never been a chocolate bar that we thought was worth breaking into, and that nostalgia took it.

When trying Reese's choco, it comes to the perfect balance of sweet milk chocolate, stuffed with salty peanut-buttery goodness. A chocolate craving goes with a Reese's, that alone puts the Hershey company in the bronze medal position in our rankings.

2. Ferrero Rocher

More so than any other brand, it was scary how quickly we could eat an entire box of Ferrero Rocher chocolate. In our opinion, it's all here when you choose the brand both in terms of taste and texture. As basic Italian chocolates, the candy consists of a crispy waffle filled with a creamy nut chocolate center, which is then wrapped in chocolate and nuts.

The chocolate made by Ferrero Rocher is sweet but well balanced with a nutty, delicious hazelnut. The Ferrero collection also includes versions of dark chocolate and almond coconut in larger boxes for those looking for a little variety. The fillings are creamy and rich, covered with a light chocolate icing that dissolves easily in the mouth. Depending on how much you want to spend and how much self-control you have, up to 48 chocolates come in packs of three or in boxes.

1. Lindt

It's hard to play favorites with chocolate sometimes. Different moods call for different indulgences, and everyone has different preferences. In Lindt, we found a collection of beautiful high-quality chocolates, widely available and in a range of products that will surely please everyone from the truffle lovers to the chocolate bar purist.

Lindt offers its own pure chocolate bar with a wide range of cocoa percent from 70 to 100 percent cocoa, as well as pure milk chocolate and a delicious chocolate bar with chili icing and blackberries with acai.
